Today we had the pleasure of sitting down with Lisa Ludwig and discussing her training organizations, as well as her personal history with firearms.
Lisa Ludwig is the President of the Long Island Women's Firearm (LIWFC) Club, and CEO of She Trains You, Inc. LIWFC is a fantastic Non-for-profit women's only group that takes traditional firearms and self defense training and brings it down to a different POV geared towards women, tackling certain issues that even myself and Taylor hadn't thought of before.
Following the success of the FIWFC, Lisa was approached by men who were looking for some good firearms training as well. Lisa founded She Trains You, Inc to be able to include everyone in her trainings in not only firearms, but self defense as well.

It is a known stereotype for the gun world that guys who run the counter at gun shops tend to be... well, assholes sometimes... AND YES, NOT ALL SHOPS HAVE ASSHOLES BEHIND THE COUNTER!
So a friend of John had a bad experiences at a well known shop (not dropping any names!) so we figured today might be a good time to address the issue, tell his story, and give everyone some insight on perhaps why these employees tend to have such an attitude.

Today we interview our new member of the NYGunGuys team, producer Steve.
Steve is a college student with no real experience with guns too far in any 1 direction. He has recently expressed an interested in gun ownership and had some questions for us. We figured this would be great opportunity for us to talk about his perspective of guns and gun owners, as well as ask some questions we have for him about his personal feelings about guns and gun owners.
With talking with Steve we are able to truly see what he has soaked up over time from school, teachers, friends, and family over his 21 years of life.
We also learn about why he's changed his mind about why he believes he needs a firearm vs doesn't need a firearm.
